Despite the fact that endometriosis affects an estimated 1 in 10 women during their reproductive years, management of the condition is poor. The diagnostic process is grossly unsatisfactory, stigma remains high, and the affect on women's quality of life is major. Today we take a closer look at the condition and consider what can be done to address this important problem.

Surrey et al examine this issue using a retrospective database of adult patients diagnosed with endometriosis between 2004 and 2016.
