Trial of Decompressive Craniectomy for Traumatic Intracranial Hypertension

This was an international, muti-center, parallel-group, superiority, randomised trial. It found that decompressive craniectomy in patients with traumatic brain injury and refractory intracranial hypertension resulted in lower mortality and higher rates of severe disability at 6 months compared to medical care.
